      apparently this is a bit of a myth - my brother is working in the states and he says that in general you get the same amount of people with good teeth/bad teeth as over here.

      obviously on TV we only ever see those with good teeth!

        In England it seems that good teeth are something you have to pay to maintain. Most people I know wouldnt pay what I pay for my private dentist, cant afford it. But can afford to smoke, have lots of meals out etc etc Teeth seem to be a low priority to everyday people.
