          They were a lot more expensive than the private hire ones, and would drive along the main drag outside the station just slowly enough that they'd catch every traffic light at red.

          I found a private hire firm instead.

              Round these parts it is much harder to get a black cab licence, they are more strict about who they give it to. If the woman is out on the booze I prefer her to get a black cab coming home.
