Mind you, for the serious caravaners, it has probably been the most exciting day in their lives.

Back to the plot, and the first problem was being a load of unconnected new members who just happened to sign up on the same day. I've thought about this.

Someone should go on a scouting mission and identify the most respected member, and then we all make out as if he told us about the site on another forum somewhere.

Indeed someone from this forum that's a certainty. Purely on the basis of statistical observation, the word goon is sufficiently unusual enough, that if you find enough posts with a particular person being the same progenitor of the word in the thread chain, you could make an evidence-based conjecture as to their identity.
