Job titles in Linkedin updates

Mine says HTML programming, which is what I do.

Just looking at my Linkedin homepage and I see some of the wondrously important people in my network;

'Rob *******, Manager Information Management Technology and HQ at BloggsCo, Walter ****, Manager Information and Application Management Corporate Banking at *** Bank'

'C. ****** is now connected to E. ****, Innovation Manager, Enterprise Architect and Program Manager at BigCo' (obviously a busy chap)

I feel truly honoured to know such people; people who are so important that they have long job titles that include the word 'Manager' TWICE!

Should I now update my job title? At the moment it's 'Tester'; I'm inclined to call myself 'General Dogsbody' but that could be construed as taking the piss. Suggestions?

Mine is full of 'test mangler', 'project mangler' and general dogsbody titles. I don't take it seriously though, in fact, I don't take much seriously

You too are infected with Testeritis; the inability to take anything whatsoever seriously.

As for West Yorkshire; I'll find other ways of wasting my life.

You can't beat the yanks when it comes to job titles. The one I saw was on a sticker on a free newspaper in the foyer of the hotel I was staying in

So that''s the second in charge of housekeeping services (cleaner) in a small hotel in the middle of nowhere in north Cariolina
