I don't think England fans consider Scotland a serious rival these days, more's the pity.

My kids are growing up in a different world - they have never known a USSR, a life without a computer in the house, or a good Scottish footballer!

On that particular day, yes. Even moaning Mourinho conceded that. Anyway, stop trying to compare apples with oranges you slippery eel. You know perfectly well what point I was making. Rest assured I will enjoy the spectacle of the World Cup. Particularly the parts where the likes of you are crying into your beer and muttering death threats to the match officials responsible for yet another "travesty" that robs England of Glory.

shaunbhoy: I hear Scotland only got 2 half-decent teams in their version of Premiership... could it be the reason why Glasgow girrrls can be so bitchy?

Only because you lot chickened out of playing the Home Internationals. Were that still on offer they would regularly see how much better the average Scot is at football compared to his english neighbour. The stats don't lie.

Shame. Still, I am sure they are perfectly au fait with England's glorious 1966 WC Triumph though, being as how it gets more air time than soft mick despite it being 4 decades ago!!

I'm surprised you didn't mention Wembley 1967, the most glorious day in the Scottish football team's history!

We (Scots/Celts) had far more glorious days than that in 1967 on the footballing front.

                    AtW,
I would suggest that as you clearly know feck all about football, you just shut up. Not that that prevents you chiming in on a myriad of other areas.

                    Phoenix,

that would be "despise" you illiterate muppet.

Supporting Scotland is like the charge of the Light Brigade. Admirable, heroic even, but ultimately futile.
                      Hard Brexit now!
