The 70-odd Met Police protection team guarding the flame around the UK, have had to have Risk Assessments and are to receive counselling when they return from guarding the flame.

I thought it was a joke to when I heard it over the radio a couple of months ago particularly as it was first reported in some tabloids.
But a few serving police officers phoned in anonymously, admitted it was true and explained the reasoning.
They were also disgusted with the fact the Olympic torch guards are getting more counselling etc then they or any emergency services do if they see and deal with something horrendous.

I remember that. The police found a large wicca man outside of Penzence full of northern emmets about to be set alight as it went dark. It was a close thing but eventually the police managed to get the fire restarted.
