Some excellent suggestions there, thanks. deck shoes and shorts for the pool methinks....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Flip Flops are for women, walters and nonces.
Real men wear sturdy leather sandals (without socks) or trainers (with trainer socks).
Trainers can be worn with casual trousers or shorts, but never ever with budgie smugglers.
Shoes can be worn only with long trousers, never with shorts or trunks, and defo never with trousers rolled up and a tied hanky on the head (This is a capital offence).

Sandals all the way, with Linen shirts and chinos, nice straw boater.
Crocs permissible on the beach, and occassionally in beach side cafes.
