    Yet.
Mind you, we all hid from OwlHoot at the last Christmas meet. That was fun, hiding under the tables watching him wandering around, confused, before heading home.

I got to meet a fair few of you over the years and the one thing that did strike me was how similar all the ones that turned up are in real-life to their characters on here.

That's not a surprise though, the keyboard warriors are never going to have the balls to show their faces and interact with people without hiding behind the keyboard.

Interesting article and very true I think, having met a few on-line folks in real life, from CUK, biking forums, gaming acquaintances, I can see that someone who is a complete knobber on the web can be intelligent, well spoken and generally nice in person, even MF .

I would say that I am the same person online and in real life, there are very few times where I would say something online in a forum thread or similar that I wouldn't be willing to say face to face.

Meeting someone in person gives you a different perspective to mix in with the banter on the web to determine their motive.

Waiver : This was only from a few evenings at drinks and other informal gatherings, and other people's off-line experience may differ.

I'm sure I can do something about that if I ever make it.

Has anyone ever had a sockie meet up? That could be fun.

I think I'm the same level of knob in real life that I am here.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

We will be the judge of that.

                  I doubt it!
