It's a freak show. Any boxer appearing on the undercard should be stripped of their British boxing licence.

The BBBC have said anyone involved will have their licences withdrawn.

For the avoidance of doubt, any member of the British Boxing Board of Control who participates in any way in such a promotion will be deemed to have terminated his/her membership of the British Boxing Board of Control and his/her licence therewith, for the reasons stated above.

Participation includes taking any steps directly or indirectly, to arrange, advertise, broadcast, facilitate, officiate or take part in any way in such a promotion.
      They aren't keen.

It should be perfectly legal for two consenting adults to beat the tulip out of each other on camera.

        Bridgwater is just off M5...

Thats a bit far reaching isn't it? If, say, Boxing News is a member of the BBFC then by just mentioning it then they're promoting it so they get their license taken away. They should let it go ahead and the police can raid it as an unlicensed fight. Mind you its in Upton Park so nothing new there...

Personally I'd laugh if they both injured themselves so much they ended up as jelly brains...

I've got no problem with the fight. Fighting outside the ring has always happened. I remember even Muhammed Ali and Frazier doing it.

This bruhaha is just another example of Sanctimonious Britain.

No point in having rules & federations. Let's have a good old tear up with gouging, glass on the knuckles and blades. Get it back to how it was when Doggy Styles was a keyboard warrior.

                  Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis
                  Bernard Hopkins and Felix Trinidad
                  Mark Kaylor and Errol Christie
                  Larry Holmes and Trevor Berbick
                  Herbie Hide and Michael Bentt

How many of them were banned for doing worse that Chisora and Haye?

They were all scheduled to fight each other Doggy. Chisora and Haye had a very nasty brawl in the crowd, consisting of death threats, glassing someone and a lot of blood.

                    None of the others did.

As a big fight fan, who has seen four of the above list fight it was part of the hype process. Haye and Chisora are a fricking joke. So no, Chisoras actions were worse. Haye is not banned. He doesnt have a license.

                    Next!

You can't get around the fact that they brawled outside the ring. Is it all right to do that, in law, if you've signed to fight the bloke later in the ring? Did Kaylor and Christie's fight at a night club in the early hours constitute 'publicity'? Are we not in danger of hypocrisy here? Who are we to say that this wasn't the forerunner to setting up a fight?
