      That is pretty amusing. Do you have some kind of batch scheduling technology such as TWS on your CV? Maybe that's how they got confused.

        Still, as the OP said, it's not exactly great, though.

        I mean, I only started on £26 an hour. But that was 1989. And I'm sure things were a wee bit cheaper back then (women & beer especially. )

          When I have work its only about £32/hr. But in this armpit having a job that pays more than £35/day is rare. Though having a job paid cash in hand and claiming JSA simultaneously is very common.
