There is a reading office, but most advertise on rightmove....have a look on the site www.rightmove.co.uk to get a better idea for prices in regard to rent vs hotels.

I forgot about Twyford, its a little gem and has excellent rail links....10 mins to reading one way, 20 mins to london the other.

      You're all suburbanites at heart!

The real contractors will be paying for this :

      http://tinyurl.com/fvkvp

with £50 notes in brown envelopes. Just a stones throw from Paddington for the 'reverse' commute.

"I have an uncle that lives on the outskirts of Wokingham and that seems quite a nice place."

Whoa! There sailor. I live down the road from both places and trust me, if you think Wokingham is a good place to go out then you're then boy are you living in the fast lane!!!

I stayed in Reading once, didn't get a wink of sleep due to the amount of police cars hoofing up and down the street all bloody night long. Don't forget that its in England which means you're liable to get glassed if you look at some other blokes bird.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Crowthorne is the next station down the line from Wokingham but is much nicer. It is also the home of Broadmoor prison for the criminally insane.

Its been renamed Venture House, someone called S3 has taken it over

Crowthorne is "must have car territory" but the town centre is much nicer than Wokingham.

I thought it had a station that connects to Reading.

It does, but no other conections to anywhere else. I think later at night a lot of trains just go straight through as its used as the express line to Gatwick from Reading. All trains must stop at Wokingham which is an interchage from the Gatwick/Reading and Reading/Waterloo lines. The Gatwick/Reading line is also quite unreliable.

The only bus I've seen has its windows blacked out and goes up Broadmoor way without stopping - never seems to come back out again.

All the above aside, here is the important bit:

Pubs - All the usual, O'Neills, Pitcher and Piano, Slug and Lettuce etc etc etc. Then there are the pubs like the Hobgoblin which is a CAMRA pub I believe, so you have the lot. And of course there is the obligatory 17 year old girls flitting between them in miniskirts and strap tops freezing their little titties off...

Lapdancing - The Honeypot. tulip but the best there is until the rumoured Spearmint Rhino opens in Caversham.

                    Shopping - Oracle. End of...

                    Older and ...well, just older!!
