In my past posts, I have actually stated that if we had kids, I would be the stay at home parent. So I fail to see how you think DA's statement is anything like what I would say?

Sadly, society seems to think like this more than one would think. People often look down on a man who earns less than his female OH, including the female partner herself or a man who takes care of a child. Society often views them as some kind of deviant.

If a child is lost in public, there is a massive difference between me stopping to help it find it's parents and the OH. Society is extremely sexist and prejudice, no matter how unbiased relaxed some people like to make people think they are.

Personally, I have enormous respect for anyone able to opt to stay at home and bring up their children. Seriously one of the most demanding and relentless roles out there.

Moronic or not men who do this are wimps and nature has its say (women admire them maybe but they are not turned on by them). Where we have moved on is that women now have a choice between staying at home looking after kids and at the same time go to work if they want to.

My point is that the type of men who become house husbands are not particularly appealing. Would you really go for a man who's sole ambition is to be a house husband? Someone who was happy for you to take the responsibility for earning the money? You may well be , but I have discussed this with many women most of who would prefer a more alpha male.

I would agree there is some truth in what you say. A large amount of people in society, still feel that only a female is capable of being in a nurturing role and only a man is capable of being in an assertive/business role, even some women think this! Some women would not be physically drawn to a non dominant man. However IMHO, a woman who is drawn to the alpha male type, is welcome to them and free to avoid me. I prefer a woman with enough intelligence to realise that the most appealing man, isnt always the loudest most obnoxious fool in the room.

However do you personally really feel that just because I have a penis between my legs and more testosterone in my body; I should instead of looking after a child in the future, have a massive ambition to climb to the top of a managerial ladder? I agree we all need some ambition just to get off the sofa, but not all of us wants to shoot for the stars, some are quite content in what other may view as humble jobs. I often find, those people are actually the happiest in their work.

DA has a point, biologically men are drawn to women with bigger breasts and hips as biologically, they suggest a better potential to sire children. The same is said for the potential of a man to provide.


But DA, havent we progressed beyond the origins of humankind? Isnt there someone that you have ever been drawn to and instantly changed your mind the moment you talk to them, or vice versa, a woman who isnt initially wildly appealing, but once you talk to them, you're hooked?

We may all in a primal way initially judge on such factors, but society has had thousands of years to evolve. Some men like skinny women, some women like more artistic men instead of those focused on careers. Not all of us still carry a club and grunt as we walk home to our caves you know.

Lets face it most of them have children at school all day anyway.

There might be occasions when things break down. A better example is the former Yugoslavia which until Tito's death was quite civilized. It went wrong quickly from there. But I do believe in the West we are alot more civilized than that.
