Sadly, they're waterproof inasmuch as the water comes in with no problem whatever & they don't let it go out again.

I only keep them coz they're comfy.
I think wet feet cause blisters when combined with lots of walking, which is why I get them so readily when on holiday; the water in this case coming from sweat rather than rain. The one time I didn't get blisters when on holiday was when I wore sandals, which sadly broke as do all my shoes on holiday.

Cheap shoes seem to be much weaker than they were a decade ago, when typically they would rip at the little toe area and could be worn comfortably for years in that state. Nowadays, they make shoes literally out of cardboard and the sole self destructs when wet and the thin bit of plastic remaining in the sole quickly develops a rip, letting in water.

Bunch of whingers. If we didn't have global warming you'd all be complaining about being snowed in.

At least rain doesn't stop you getting to the client, unless you also have floods. Think of the invoices.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

I can get to the client; question is whether I can get home tomorrow and whether my house will be dry.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Getting blustery and rainy again. Blue gone. Maybe the storm before the calm.
