Was going to ask you about your wind readingsOriginally posted by Cliphead View PostThe weather station is reporting the average wind speed which is a bit misleading however it's currently gusting close to 30mph and getting stronger, pressure still dropping rapidly.
There's currently wheelie bins flying around and trees coming down where I am, and the ferries to Rothesay are off, and I'm only a few miles from you.
Are you sure you don't still have your sensors in the wine cellar ???
When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

Given the unusually strong winds I moved the sensor from the roof closer to ground level to anchor it better just to be safe. I also have a hill behind me in roughly the direction the wind's coming from so won't see the full force anyway.Originally posted by TestMangler View PostWas going to ask you about your wind readings

Had a drive to the village shop, lots of branches strewn across the road but no wheelie bins in transit just yet.Comment

A sensible move. T'would be a shame if the thing ended up in bits so soon after you got it.Originally posted by Cliphead View PostGiven the unusually strong winds I moved the sensor from the roof closer to ground level to anchor it better just to be safe.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

More to come;Originally posted by minestrone View PostIt was pretty gusty a couple of hours ago but now it seems to have died down.
Wind Awareness Level: Red
Winds will continue to increase during Thursday morning with severe gales developing across many northern and central parts of the UK, and some particularly damaging storm force winds likely to affect parts of Scotland. The risk of disruption is considered highest across central and southern Scotland where there is a significant risk of damage to trees and structures.Comment

My advice is to all shak up at Clipheads for when you all get snowed in. Then at least when the food supply runs out you can eat each other, you know like in that film where the aeroplane crashed. Alive is it?
Anywho, hourly updates. I want hunger, hypothermia, the whole nine yards. This could be the most rivetting thread following your demises hour by hour.
