As someone has mentioned these people have character flaws, a few confrontations is not going to change 30 years of character build. You may get a few niceties to your face but you can guarantee that they will be more out to get you than ever, schmooze and suck it up.

When she gives you unrealistic deadlines, reply back with copious amounts of information that she won't understand.

In the middle of it, leave a question which means that she needs to do something, e.g. "I won't be able to complete XYZ without further clarification on whether we import A or B at this stage". If it's hidden well enough, she will miss it, and when she demands to know what is happening / why it is late, you can refer back to the email and point out to everyone that she is the bottleneck.

One reply to thank you all. I'm giving up on this one. These are times when I realize I'm not tough enough for this business. I'll take a holiday and break from CUK too. See you sometime later.

MFSome might laugh, but personally I think it's a bloody shame that people are discouraged in this business by some of the social cripples and emotional lepers that go around calling themselves managers.Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostAnd you didn't even need NLUK to tell you're not cut out for contracting And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? At the end of the day they either want the business or they don't.
