Incorrect. I've noticed a common theme among all our expats.
    Hard Brexit now!

But it seems that if people of such poor quality need to be employed by the host country, that host country must be doomed in the long run.
Maybe the best companies in any country will hire the best talent and the mediocrites will work for the second and third tiers?
What seems to have gone wooshing over that oh so mathematically sophisticated bowl of mashed potato that passes for your head is that 80% of people aren't in the top 20%. Those 80% of people need to be employed by the host country simply in order to avoid them becoming a burden on the rest of the population, so a country that can effectively provide the majority of it's residents with sufficiently stimulating employment that pays a living wage is succeeding rather handsomely, particularly so if compared to one that offers only subsistence wages or unemployment to 80% of it's population and requires the other 20% to make up the shortfall rather than enjoying the fruits of their labours.

I think I'm in the 80% of the 20%, but not in the 20% of the 20%, not in the 20% of the 80% and certainly not in the 80% of the 80%.

Although I'm a tester, and an expat, so I don't know much.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

They all think you're a bellend?

I hate to break it to you, but it's not just the expats

The median wage in the UK is higher than in Germany.

And the unemployement rate in the Uk was lower till recently.

Jealousy is a second emotion and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, particularly in reference to a human connection. Jealousy often consists of a combination of presenting emotions such as anger, sadness, resentment and disgust.

A few months ago you were telling us that the UK is doomed. Now you're extolling the virtues of UK Plc from the town hall steps.

                      Which is it?
