Iraq and Libya were trading oil in Euros as is Iran. Coincidence or not.
That's silly, how will the planes take off?

Britain's armed forces are stepping up their contingency planning for potential military action against Iran amid mounting concern over Tehran's nuclear enrichment programme, the Guardian has learned.

The Ministry of Defence believes the US may decide to fast-forward plans for targeted missile strikes at some key Iranian facilities. British officials say that if Washington presses ahead it will seek, and receive, UK military help for any mission, despite some deep reservations within the coalition government.

In anticipation of a potential attack, British military planners are examining where best to deploy Royal Navy ships and submarines equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles over the coming months as part of what would be an air- and sea-launched campaign.

If US and UK politicians think that action can be limited to “key targets” then they are very deluded. Iran has many advanced weapons deployed its navy as it had deployed its navy close to US waters. The navy has among its fleet, submarines that have high-speed torpedoes similar to what the Russians have. I would imagine US and UK oil tankers and navel ships to be prime targets in retaliation.

Paddy - I am against this proposed íntervention - an attack against Iran would igenite the entire Middle East - perhaps the globalists might think it could somehow save the train wreck of the Western Economy - but it will all end it tears.

Imagine that Syria and Iraq would join forces with Iran - they are Shia majority states. There would be major distruptions in these Gulf states that are Shia majority - but ruled by Sunnis. I'd say we'd have the beginnings of WWIII.

Good opportunity to re-take the region and its oil?
