Lying Bastard Agents...
The following occured to one of my team members. He wants an increase and sounded me out as his Software Team Leader. He told me he's on £33
Agent : "How much do you want?"
Contractor : "38"
Agent : "Well, I don't think they'll pay that but I'll do my best"
....
Agent : "I've managed to get you 33 and we'll try for an increase at renewal."
Contractor : "Erm... OK..."
....
It now turns out that the agent is billing the us at £48 per hour...
