I hate the bit that goes between your toes, I find it incredibly irritating.
I love flips flops that don't have that and have the kind of strap that goes across the top of your footComment

If your feet are getting cut up in flip flops then you're trying to walk to vigourously in them! Take it easier or wear foot wear more suited to your walking styleCoffee's for closersComment
