While we're on the subject of things which probably wouldn't be allowed by the powers that be these days, I thought I'd ask the question "what was the first virus you wrote?", or indeed have you ever written a virus?
Again being an oldie, my only claim to fame was a set of programs which infected the boot sector of disks at school on their one and only Apple computer.
Nothing like what the yuff of today can do mind (no network etc), but was great fun as once someone put their disk in the drive it would count down the number of times they played a game then...woof...wipe the disk.
My mates and I used to compete against each other, and attempt 'first-strikes' to see if we could wipe out their disk before they did ours...
