Yes, this was to "cut costs".

After that completely new investment was provided and it's complete coincidence that parts of older programs got reused.

You mean trying to get humanity to new stars is a socialist goal?

$30 bln USD over 10 years for NASA is 1 month for Pentagon.

No, getting free healthcare for everyone, that sort of thing. I'm sure OB doesn't give a about NASA.

Lots of fun recreating the Apollo mission in real time.
Impressive and vast! I've also downloaded some of the extra textures, but am not sure what to do with them; or rather where to store then (I chose the zipped version). Might need to read the manual...

Multi Function Displays are the key (MFD's). Some come built in like TransX but search for Interplanetary, Lola, Base Land, etc. The stock Delta Glider is useful but track down the DGIV version and addons.

              Orbiter Mods

For Apollo search for NASSP and AMSO.

Prepare to get hooked. Taking the DGIV to LEO and rendevouz / dock with the ISS is a milestone as is getting to the Moon and making a landing (mess it up but you've planned a free return trajectory anyway). Get that out of the way and get ambitious with a trip to Mars or the outer planets...

Then there are the shuttle missions, historic missions like Mercury, Gemini...

Then comes planning the slingshot missions and the grand tour.
              Me, me, me...

When Obama said "Think BIG!" nobody heard him say under his breath "because thinking is all you'll be doing 'coz we is skint, Lawdy we is so skinty skint skint!".

I think he said 'be bald', though that might have been misinterpreted as bold, muttering something about a girdle and suspenders.

Go baldly where no baldy has gone bald before. Apparently Obama is interested in space and makes regular jibes at Kirk's expense, no idea why.

In Kirk's day Obama would only have made an ensign. Uhura only got the promotion because she was "gifted", know what I mean?

Thank heavens those days have changed, eh? It's all "Where no one has gone before" now. Picard you bastard!
