Scotland have unfortunately not appeared at a major finals since 1998, they have come close on a number of times but not close enough. There is a lot of optimism around the new Scotland setup and there is huge expectation placed on the manager and the SFA to turn things around and get Scotland to Euro 2012.

I'm surprised Baddiel & Skinner don't re-release Three Lions every couple of years for the major tournaments, with a slight lyrics change. They'd make a killing from all the England numpties thinking "this time, surely".
