Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
USA is #1 in Nobel Prize winners, a lot of fundamental research is still happening there - pretty much most of IT stuff you use is thanks to USA you ungrateful piece of tulip.
Nonsense. The quality of US products is dire. Doesn't matter if it works or not just sell it!
Look you idiot, the reason they recall those cars is because lawsuits in US made car manufactures do that kind of thing to save lifes of their customers, if you buy some Russian made car then you won't ever get any recalls, apart from the very final call to hell where you'll be forced to use PCs all day long and listen to my views on global economics of hell and heaven.
The murder rate there is pretty low, firearms offences are also very low for a country with 200 mln units of firearms owned by the people.
For some odd reason I felt safer visiting Canada and talking to Canadian airport security and police even though they have more guns than the US per percentage of the population.
Maybe it's because they aren't so trigger happy.
Oh and the internet was invented by a British guy in Switzerland.

FAIL. And you know it.
It's not the customer they're defending but their profits or should I say tax payers cash.

Blame Canada!

What more evidence is necessary that you are factually wrong in what you assert, totally idiotic at everything else and have the nerve to claim you earn big euros, whilst trying to be a cheapskate at the same time.

Without US VC cash there would not be the Net as you know it - lots of free stuff from companies that were backed by them: Amazon, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft et al.
What do you have in this country? Dragons Den show - this is part of the reason why there are so few world class UK based companies that manage to do it globally.
Of course those who make it are pretty fooking good at what they do

We have VCs in this country. I know I've worked for (run away from and got screwed by one) firms in this country that were funded by them.
The businesses the Dragons snap up tend to be those that can go else where for the cash but want the input of the Dragons in things that the business owners cannot do. This is what Lord Sugar was doing in this year's Apprentice.
Other VCs don't tend to be so hands on.
Oh and Ford saw what happened to Toyota.
Marketing, branding and PR is a massive industry in the US and UK. It's also becoming bigger in India and China.
Lots of small companies have good ideas but if you don't have everyone in the company singing your praises all over the place, including the internet if your target demographic includes those under 60, and someone employed to do that then you may as well not bother.

VCs in this country are those who are known to take over compaines with lots of debt against it (ie - they don't have actual money to buy it), then either run it into the ground or split/sell off assets.
The guy who wrote Google cheque for $100k after listening to founders for an hour did that before they even had company formed, can this happen in the UK? Can it ****!
This is why America is ahead even though they sure have VCs fund totally bogus crazy things that can't possibly work... but they also fund companies that do work out!
