The other farcical scam is digital aerials. So many people are being told that they won't get digital tv unless they upgrade to a digital aerial - completely wrong again.

I think that scam started due to the initial weaker digital signal (having to share similar spectum as the analogue signal) requiring some aerials on the edge of reception range to be in tip-top condition, or at least pointing in the right direction!

As analogue has been phased out they've been able to boost the digital signal, so more aerials are now able to pick it up with less or no faffing about than previously.
