I have to disagree on that one. Tomatoes along with a tomato based relish and salad is hard to beat. The only cheese I like is mozzarella so a good thick slice of that added is wonderful (proper buffalo not the waxy crap).

As quoted in the 1980s book "Real Men Don't Eat Quiche", I believe that real burgers exist in the US, but not elsewhere.

Having said that, I've had some good ones in restaurants or at home, but definitely made with better quality ingredients than you will find in a fast food place.

Worst experience: Some burger place in London in the 1990s when the fifty plus year old lady insisted I had a bun "With Sesame Seeds - they are really good". Nuts to that I didn't want them but relented when she wouldn't give up before accepting my order.

They were tasteless / I didn't want the wretched things on my food in the first place.

Yank marketing at its worst, really. I didn't want the stuff and I didn't like it when it came.

Tomato relish is fine but the tomato slice is just a damp cold layer on the crisp salad in between the crisp bun and the crisp burger, an imposter to the burger meal, a charlatan and interloper proposed to the meal by tomato growers

The best damn burgers in London. Make GBK seem like Wimpy. The burger menu is off-piste by the way - ask for it especially, call ahead and reserve. I recommend the house burger with beer-battered chips and home-made hollandaise. They serve some fine single malts too.
Been meaning to go there, as there's one not far from where I work they make the burger with marrowbone droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllll lllllll

How come you can't get a McDonald's milkshake abroad, such as France, Spain and Germany? Really annoying, Coke just isn't the same or as calorie packed.

What about the pickled gherkin? BK is the only place I've had them and it's always a pleasant surprise for me.

Saying that, in a fast food situation I'd pick a proper Turkish kebab shop or failing that Nando's over any burger joint.

In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Bought some burgers at CostCo the other day and they were huge and there was barely any shrinkage when we cooked them. Not cheap but worth every penny.

                      Mmmm.

Tavuk (Chicken) Shish, Rice, Salad and flatbread. As you say better than a Big Mac and chips.
