I quite like that style, but you lose the CUK logo. You can change it in Settings\General Settings\Forum Skin: near bottom.

When viewing a thread with multiple pages, did the page 'count' towards the top of the page used to highlight the page you were on?

If so, it's not doing so anymore.

Thanks for confirming - I think either the relevant page was highlighted in bold or by a box.

I thought so too. There is, but you have to scroll right down to the bottom of your screen and it's on the left

Yes I've noticed that. The lack of it makes navigation harder.
