If you wiped out debt you would simultaneously destroy all of the accumulated wealth that was lent in order to facilitate it. Everyone would end up with nothing, not just the people who are currently minus something or other.Originally posted by russell View PostI think we should have reset day, where every single person, company and countries debts are set to 0 at once, this would solve the debt problem. Also do it with rep scores. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

Your outstanding invoice is a debt. It would be wiped out. You could of course do some more work but your client would be unable to pay you because they would have no money.Originally posted by russell View PostOnly until the next invoice is paid out.
The money in your bank account is a debt owed to you by the bank. That would be wiped out too. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

All true, but I forgot to mention I would be allowed a balance of 1 trillion (just a electronic amount to owed to me) to get the system working again.Originally posted by doodab View PostYour outstanding invoice is a debt. I think everyone should have 20 chickens and start from there.
Although we'd still end up with fat bastards with no chickens and miserable vegetarians with thousands of chickens lecturing those with no chickens how best to avoid second hand chicken smoke. If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.Comment
