Always support English teams in Europe, with two exceptions:

    Arsenal
    Anybody playing Barca

    Another Estrella Damm please barman!

      Same here. Except Man Utd.

Watching the 2009 Champions League final in Spain was a veritable evening to savour.

I don't care about any other british team in Europe. I should really as the further they go the better the English co-efficient becomes and the chance to keep 4 places in the CL.

Too big a word for a footy fan. Whose sockie is this?

As a Spurs fan and on the first journey into the CL I don't expect you to understand the intricate workings of Champions League

I support any other Scottish team in Europe apart from Aberdeen. No interest in the Plastic Irish team either.

As for the English, always enjoy watching Man U get stuffed, apart from that if it's good football then I'll cheer on the Angles.

That wasn't a red card either by the way. Shocking reffing display. It was a penalty though.

On them! On them! They fail!

                Great comeback.

Seriously though, could any EPL team have turned over Barca last night? How do you set up against a team like that?

From a spurs perspective I think our CHs would have struggled against Messi and Pedro.
On the other hand, Bale is better on the flanks than Nasri. Not taking anything away from Nasri as I think he put his heart and soul in.

Also spurs seem to lack a Wilshere, but do have a Modric.

Personally think the Barca CHs would have struggled to contain LankPiece.

                Any ideas?

Chelsea came close to beating barca a couple of seasons ago until a last minute dodgy goal went in.

I disagree that barca centre halves would struggle against crouch, spurs would need the ball in order to feed him. they had 75% possession last night and apply constant pressure all the time.

If I remember correctly the last EPL team to beat Barca were Liverpool

Inter managed to nullify them last year by parking the bus. It wasn't pretty but it can work if you have an organised unit.

I think Arsenal lacked industry in midfield. It needs a maizy little run from the likes of Modric, Van Der Vaart or Hutton, or a lung busting run from Bale and Crouch is given service.

I've never seen Modric, VDV or hutton put in a shift.

What was missing was a destroyer in the centre of the park - a Roy Keane, Gerrard, Mascherano.
someone who was prepared to do the dirty things and give themselves selfishly for the cause.

Modric and VDV are gifted players but not grafters.
