Isn't it some kind of football fan jargon?

AtW told us recently he was going to a football match for the first time.

Better than Moscow anyway, especially the weather.

oh ffs - it's clear sky tonight, with sunny intervals tomorrow and nice fluffy white clouds in the following days - what more do you want?

Well, a maximum daytime temperature of about -17 would be nice for a start. -18 is just too chilly

It's ok, that's not the low temp that will get you killed there

Last time I was in the Urals, it was -32c in the day, you were advised not to speak or open your mouth, otherwise your vocal chords would freeze. Mine did!

Also your cheeks felt like you'd been to the dentist for a filling - numb, totally numb. Still - it's an invigorating crispy cold, quite pleasant and the polar (har-har) opposite to the +1c at Heathrow a day later, cold, damp and horrid...

I should have moved to London ten years ago!

On a positive side - I'd probably end up living next to sadguru
Consider it a lucky escape. You could have been a victim of street crime. Youths rolling about stabbing each other.

I wouldn't go back if I was you.
