Removing the skirting’s to paint (unless you are replacing them) seems excessive - have you tried extra wide masking tape?

Easier to paint them before you put them on.

I thought this thread would be on the troubles of doing proper downshifting in a car with manual transmission.
I have some problems when going from 4th to 3rd on a racetrack when approching a corner with a curved braking zone.

              Any hints?

Yeah, get a big comfy automatic, a Cuban cigar and calm down, man.

                  I don't seem calm?

All you need to do it fill the screw holes and cork the top.

And before you prime them put a stopping agent on any knots; it stops them popping out later in life, in the trade known as knot, stop & prime, you can buy skirtings that have been treated & primed; you just need to paint them & satin wood is easier than gloss.

If you are doing a full re-dec remember that you can paint a cold raidiator with satin wood to match your woodwork. (& is cheaper than rad paint)
