Silly question I'm sure, but can you close a door to prevent the cat from getting to that area? As the cat is used to crapping in that spot (as others have said they're creatures of habit) you need to break that habit.

If siblings continuously fight and one is getting stressed out you may have to look at rehoming one or the other.

Not a nice thought, but often the situation will get worse if you don't.

Speak to your vet for initial advice, in the meantime, try the urine off and the feliway diffuser for a short period.

If it is still not working then, speak to your local RSPCA or Cats Protection branches for advice on re homing

You do know cats can get pregnant at 20 (ish) weeks old? If your male cat is still a tom you will probably (but not always) find he's spraying as well. Get them neutered pronto.

Someone I know had a similar problem. After trying everything, the cat was put to sleep.

Hmm, forgot about the neutering thing (DOH!) though neutering doesn't stop the spraying (NorPuss III, being the random sprayer example).

As for putting a cat to sleep because it wouldn't use the litter tray, harsh.

Have you had the cats long?

In the short term get some feliway and get them neutered if they haven't been already.

Would a domestic cat survive if driven a hundred miles away and abandoned in the wild where it is free to poo where it jolly well pleases? I feel this is more humane than bashing its head in with a shovel.
