Never provided a reference ever, my market is so small we all have worked with one another at one point, if any one does do the two references routine, I never bother with them again.

Yep,once yout have the role (and I mean have a contract in your hand) you can think about providing references. You need to have them available but will not need to provide them all the time.

2006 wasn't a bad year, depends on the vineyard.
