It's OK CM, I spend most of my time in the office where there are plenty of servers - it's about 15°C in here. However, going to the kitchen is like going to the frozen food section in Waitrose. And as for climbing into a freezing cold bed - aaaarrrrgghhh!

I've just checked using the homebrew thermo - it's 12°C in the living room!!!!

I say it's winter when my Kentucky Fried Chicken goes unpleasantly cold during the journey home. It's been winter as of last night.

So what's it gonna be, boy? Central heating, or a heating pad, or a heating belt?
Thanks Richard for the reminder - I was going to purchase the pad for the winter months - I guess now is probably the time. There's a fair amount of thermal inertia in the wort as it was 24°C when it was made and the poly fermenter is fairly insulating, but I guess I'd better drop a sterilised thermo in there to make sure. I should really get another temp strip for the outside, although I guess they're not as accurate.

EDIT: Ah, it was the immersion heater I was looking at earlier this year.

I am as of the beginning of this year - divorced and asset stripped - hence the lack of flying, huge mortgage and the necessity to home brew rather than quaff back the Margaux.

Actually the home brew sits in the utility room - red wine and light carpets are a bit risky!

In that case - have as much homebrew in the living room as you like

But I really do think, you should turn the heating on
