It's quite entertaining watching the journalists desperately trying to fill the time

Jeez, and I though making a joke about sending Super Mario down the pipe to rescue the miners would be bad taste. Oh well I've said it now.

It's going to be hours before shafting begins (they need to install cameras!) and the whole process is going to take perhaps 30 hours, all going well. I wouldn't want to be in the capsule when it gets stuck half way up. That would make being stuck down a hole a picnic by comparison.

The journos are now reduced to interviewing each other. Poor sods.

This must be like what the Apollo moon landing was like.

Psychologists are going to have a field day studying these people, especially scrutinised will be the first words uttered as they alight the capsule. Let's hope they are good ones. Perhaps "a small climb for a Chilean, a beeg media circus for world", rather than say "thank **** that's over". They are probably receiving coaching as we speak.

                  Long live El Presidente!

I do wish the miners well but this bunfight on the surface is comedy gold

BBC: "I'm fascinated to know what they are doing now".

Dragging it out for as long as possible?
