There won't be plenty quickness on a running track like that.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -

Yep, excellent times only about half a second off the world's best, which is actually quite a lot in sprinting.Originally posted by Zippy View PostDon't be so mean! I thought the 100 metres steeplechase heats went very well.
I have the scars to show what happens when you run the 100m wearing spikes on an uneven track.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Some potential for some 'jet propelled assist' world records in the swimming courtesy of the old 'two bob bits'.

Just hope it's 'Delhi belly' and not some intestinal parasite. Delhi belly usually goes away quickly, some of the nasty intestinal parasites can ruin an athlete's career.
As I said, I wouldn't compete there having experienced dyssentry and what it did to me.
Anyway, the Indians are second in the medals table right now, probably on the strength of their immune systems because nobody's going very fast in the pool or on the track.
It's actually a bloody disgrace that a city organising the Commonwealth Games is still unable to provide the basic hygiene that prevents thee illnesses. You know what is the primary cause of food poisoning in India? Cooks having a tulip, wiping their arse with their bare hands, dipping their hand in filthy water and then preparing food.
The games shouldn't be held there.Last edited by Mich the Tester; 7 October 2010, 08:36.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Turns out Bob contracted Vlad the Impaler's family business to provide car park security;
Commonwealth Games 2010: Uganda team chief injured after security accident - Telegraph
The spikes, about a metre long, are embedded right across the road surface and suddenly sprung up when the car was deemed to be an illegal entry despite having cleared the first checkpoint
The chef de mission, Wilson Tumwine, as well as Juliet Achom and Irene Matovu, spent the night in a hospital.
Matovu had severe injuries to her eye and required extensive facial stitching. Tumwine suffered a slight head injury and Acom had whiplash.
