So contractors profit sharing say 40K+40K dividends with partner will continue to get child benefit (take home almost 7K a month).

Poor permie on 45K and taking home £2500 a month will lose it.

Surely "high earners" on £40K plus can afford their own private medical care, education for their children, pensions etc.

I propose anyone earning more than average pays all the taxes but doesn't receive anything in return. Not a penny.

      Only "fair".

If child benefit is of any significant when considering having kids then don't have them

          You're not going far enough.

Frankly if you're earning more than £40k. When you get home you should invite around 2 unemployed couples around at least twice a week and cook them a full healthy meal and ask them how their day has been, build their confidence a little. I mean not everyone can earn £40K, so it means that you should have to give something back into the community as opposed to spending your ill gotten gains on Sky Movies.

Especially if they have your genetics!

What happen to CUK when DP and SB are complaining about a government of their choosing (Almost) that's proposing cutting benefits to people who don't need them?

              Very odd.

Not fully up to date with UK politics just now, but seems to be an awful lot of talks of cuts cuts and cuts (Hmm, wonder why that was never mentioned in the election) and some completely unelectable union selected re ed labour leader claiming to be a new generation, but sounding suspiciously like the older one ...

I see that your comprehension skills have not improved snaw. I was not particularly complaining about being affected by this initiative, I WAS however complaining about sleazy benefit-scroungers that have been milking the system for years. You know, those very people that you insist are just the poor unfortunates that we should all be eagerly handing our hard-earned taxes to.
