Is that one of those pointless empty threats? What if he does call you a sockie again?

Where in my post did I threaten him?

I take it that the mention of sockies led you here.

"Don't call me a sockie again" has a very obvious threatening implication. ie calling you a sockie again has some untoward consequences.

"Please don't call me a sockie again" or "I would like you to stop calling me a sockie" are examples that don't carry the implied menace.

PS The fact that it was an unread post led me here

You are quite an aggressive person aren't you? Do you have problems with personal relationships?

Good luck trying to wind me up. Next time at least have the balls to post as yourself, SY01.

Passive aggressive is the exact term I think you are looking for.

It seems that you don't need any help from me.

I think you're getting confused with your definitions again MF. Two cretins for the price of one here, bargain.
