How do you stay motivated?

WFH today.

Working on a mind numbing data mapping exercise - source to target. God it's boring. I'm doing anything but concentrating on the job in hand.

How do others stay motivated enough to be able to concentrate on these mind numbing tactical tasks?

Why are you doing this crap if you are on £250K?
Past 30, you shouldn't be doing this sort of stuff. That's what juniors/new PhDs are for.

My combined income is £250k Sas not just the contracting stuff. I'm presently doing a jobbing contract on my door step so I can concentrate on some other stuff in the evenings/weekends.
Contracting makes up 40% of my income.

Serious answer? I walk past a Jobcentre on my way to work, which usually has people waiting outside for it to open. That motivates me.
