ummm about a year ago
A "bargain" slingbox from ebay to enable me to watch British TV from Germany
- which made me buy a Media Center Extender to connect it to and get freeview
- which then made me give my current media center to my father to allow it to be recordable
- which made me then upgrade my fathers internet connection to get better Upspeed
- which allowed me to build a new better Media Center in Germany
- which allowed me to buy a Sling Receiver to make changing channels easier than using Keyboard/mouse all the time
- which then cluttered up the room with remote so I bought a Harmony One remote to consolidate
- and while I was at it I got a Logitech DiNovo Edge Keyboard so it looks better
- the amplifier died so I bought a new Harman Kardon receiver to listen to my Blu Ray Media center in surround sound
- and to keep gf chef happy I housed it all in a 1950's style tv cabinet from Habitat
- and bought a new sofa to relax on while watching it all
so now all I need at some point in the distant future is a silent HD projector to replace the HD LCD TV and a job nearer home where I can actually make use of it all and I'm sorted..
