To be fair, the words you have highlighted are the BBC's, not the professors. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

Tell me about it. Time slows down a lot after 3pm but speeds up again at the Thai massage where half an hour seems like ten minutes when it’s time to turn over.Originally posted by Cliphead View Post"A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Time is a human idea, it does not exist. Monkey.Or not...

Simply not true. The "flow" of time might be attributed to human perception, but even if you view the universe as an unchanging four dimensional whole the time dimension is special. Without it's specialness, concepts such as "the speed of light" (which limits the ability of one point in the continuum to affect what happens at another) couldn't exist in the form they do.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostTime is a human idea, it does not exist. I have noticed that at night, when the northern hemisphere is facing away from the centre of the universe, my willy gets smaller, due to galactic gravity. In the morning, it gets stretched out again by the pull of the universe.

It's hard to imagine a universe without time isn't it. There'd presumably be no causality for one thing, which is perhaps more fundamental than time itself and why there must be a speed limit, at least in a universe that was consistent and made sense for everyone.Originally posted by doodab View PostSimply not true. Surely time is just a delta?Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostIt's hard to imagine a universe without time isn't it. The photon is effect.Originally posted by SupremeSpod View PostWhat does one photon look like and how long would it last?
How long would it last is analogous to how far a car would move if you pushed it. A long as the road is there for the energy to transfer to. Some photons last for millions of years, like the ones in the centre of the sun, they bounce all over the place before they can reach the road.
The speed of light is well understood, but I wonder, what is the speed of dark?"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
