This suddenly seems to be the mantra of the Labour leadership candidates. Ed Balls has said it and so have Dave and Ed Millipedes.
What has changed so suddenly that they are spouting such bulltulip? It was the worst decision of Labour when they were in power and yet it has taken them a leadership contest to come out and accept that it was wrong.
Bunch of crooks each one of them.
The government took the UK into that war. These guys are not the government. How can you therefore attach blame to them?

It is what they have to say to appeal to the left of the party, no more or less than that. It has nothing to do with if it was right or wrong. Nor has it to do with what there actual belief is.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Neither Ed was an MP when Tony took us to war, the sith lord Mandy must have some sort of plan that involves distancing them from the old/new labour.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
The war was a ******* disaster, probably the worst decision the UK has made since the end of WWII.
You come from a war mongering nation where invading countries happens at the drop of a hat, this country was meant to be the cradle of democracy and yet we let a psycho PM drag us into this. Blair is a twunt and if I was allowed to put a c on that I would. I truly detest that man and being a religious person the twunt with a c rarely comes out my mouth. I reserve that word for him.
Recession, depression, hyper inflation, stagnation happens. It is in the cycle of this thing we all capitalism.
Old folk die of cold, it happened before new labour and it will happen after. That fact was never their decision, the war was.
For once I find myself agreeing with minestrone!
For all our sins, Britain did have a reasonable reputation in the World. We could at least usually claim some moral high ground when we told other countries what to do.

1) They are politicians..... (Therefore they lie)
2) They are no longer riding the "Government with large majority" Gravy Train...... (Therefore keeping schtum doesn't benefit them anymore)
No because the Government is now Tory/Lib Dem - but they were the Government. What a strange thing for you to say.
Asked on 18th March 2003 to support Tony Blair’s motion for military action against Iraq, Labour and Conservative MPs lined up to vote “aye”.
Both the Conservative and Labour frontbenches in the House of Commons supported the war. The Conservatives even argued that the Government wasn’t being tough enough.

All falling over themselves to support the Americans with one eye on the lucrative lecture circuit after office
Ask yourself what kind of uproar there would be if UK politicians went on after office to make millions from giving tours to Russia or China? but because it's done in the USA no one gives a hoot
German & French politicians don't do it yet why is it so acceptable for UK?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
