£100 to go shoe/handbag/clothes shopping and you'll babysit whilst she enjoys herself.

A romantic night away, somewhere with a hot tub and champagne.

Eternity ring or other such bauble.

A Wii with dance party - which is excellent fun for a girls night in

If your pet name for her is 'bunny' or some other such animal, sponsor one in her name.

A Magnolia tree, ( in a pot) some of these take years to flower, so you could get one that will flower in 10 years - because you know you still be together and as happy as you are now
Trust a cavvy to come up with the best ideas. Nickname is 'Baps' so not sure how best to reflect this in a present. Trying to get her to go out anywhere without the kids is always a struggle (we do everything together as a family).

I looked up what 12 years was (in terms of 1=paper, 2=cotton, etc), and 12 is silk or fine linen. Would some nice black silk sheets for the bed along with a nice set of linen napkins be acceptable?

She does like her plants/trees so maybe the magnolia tree could be a winner....

This will be entirely lost on her. Her innocence is remarkable really. I showed her that image of the tourist 'official dogging site' and she thought that was a new term for where dog owners could take their pets for a nice walk. She even asked me the other day what the difference between homosexual and bi-sexual was! She thoguht one described gay men, and the other gay women. She's not the brightest pin in the draw, but she's my pin....

Thanks Chef, but we're one of the few families in the South who support their local [Championship] team.

sickening but cute, how about some nice tasteful silk underwear (I can think of a certain admin who could advise on such matters, La Perla I believe?) instead of bed sheets..

Available in any decent high street kitchen accessory shop, or online.

It's simple really, get 200 notes or so and go and get something shiny - NOTE: Not too sparkly - simple, classy design, bracelet, necklace or earrings. white gold is good as it doesn't tarnish, not yellow gold under any circumstances. Keep it simple and keep the receipt, you can't go wrong. The whole point is that it isn't something she needs.

Pandora bracelet - get her one with a few beads to start with, then for the next few years you can keep adding beads.
