There is a gag on FT's Alpahville:
Must have got lost in translation, but I thought we asked Iceland to send cash! How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Be glad that you are able to witness the continued formation of our planet, that great men like Alfred Wegener went before you and discovered the wondrous processes that are at work here. Look up some volcanology films on google vids and be amazed, and remember when you're feeling very small and insecure, how amazingly unlikely is your birth,
and pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'cause there's bugger-all down here on earth!
ps, can we have your liver now please? And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment
