I have read somewhere that the most depressing day of the year is allegedly a Monday in January - once Xmas has past, debts are piling up, it's Monday, it's cold and grey, you're not in a ski resort, summer's ages away, and if you're an out of work contractor while most others have a contract, it's not easy being cheerful.

Cue for the ruthless agent to barge in and offer you a job at £30/hr to do monkey work.....
