What made it so good?

Did you live in the city or outside?

I lived near the Museumplein. Just a really relaxed atmosphere, good transport links within the city and externally.

The Dutch are really friendly and you can walk/cycle just about anywhere in the city, never felt threatened and if you stay away from the Stag Party areas it's fantastic (of course when you have visitors they have a tour of the RL district etc).

Zuurich, as long as you don't mind the tulip weather and are not afraid to get bored to death.

And the you don't mind the boring Swiss and the drug addicts injecting in the parks.

A Year; possibly but I'm more tempted to look into buying a weekend flat or similar in the future. I don't think soon to be Mrs Advocate would approve of a full relocation!

Prob because the Aussies in Sydney are slightly more sophisticated than the cretinous oiks like you who live in Melbourne or Brisbane.

There is no comparison, Sydney is my No 1, Melbourne or Brisbane wouldn't make my top 20.

I love Rome myself, but not that much and come on, Leeds would have trouble fighting off 1st place in almost everyones top ten biggest dumps (any of the meanings of the word dump).
