Non-sexist version of "straw man proposal" required

How about combining them, a Man-Aunt proposal.

I suggested we produce a straw man proposal and have been told that is sexist. "Aunt Sally" was suggested as an alternative, but that is equally sexist and does rather suggest something you throw stones at!

What term can I use to mean "a one page rich picture describing what we reckon you need for you to think about and discuss"?

How about "something to get the discussion started" or "a starting point" or "food for thought" or "fertilizer for the mind" or, give it to them late on a friday and call it "something for the weekend"?

Or, how about a "straw dirty old slapper who will do anything for a fiver". At least then when they say it's sexist they'll have a point.
