I thought you said that you were going to be nice to people for a while? Oh, and that you are not rude and do not hurl insults at people?

Chico I don't know how to break this to you but your quote clearly describes a vision, experienced by Paul in which he claims to have spoken to Christ. The reason why it is a vision is:

      a) when he opened his eyes Jesus was no longer there
      b) his companions (who by defintion were with him) never saw jesus

Which part of this don't you understand Chico? Do you often meet people that are invisible to others around you? Me neither.

Keep digging ALM or maybe those same scales are in your eyes. What was it? A dream or a vision? Was it a dream or vision that was witnessed by one man or many? Tell me - what do you see in text or more importantly what do you choose to see?

          Quo Vadis Amigos ?

Chico is maintaining that Paul met the Spirit of Christ, which is correct at least by the Bibles account.

Whereas ALM is maintaining that Paul did not meet Jesus whilst he was amongst us on Earth, prior to the crucifixtion, which is also correct.

BTW Chico ALM does know a thing or two about Theology, so may I humbly suggest a tad of respect would not be a amiss.

          Hope that helps !

Stop playing games chico. Just be honest enough to admit that you'd never realised that Paul had never met Jesus in the flesh. I was surprised too!

Whether it was a dream or a vision or a lie or a hallucination is irrelavant. Paul never met Jesus in the flesh. Read your own quote again Chico. He saw a light in the sky, he heard a voice speaking to him but when he opened his eyes he saw nothing!

Would you care to provide further evidence that Paul met Jesus? Surely the bible should be riddled with many such examples given that Paul is such a senior figure in the religion.

here's a more likely explanation. It also explains why I won't believe any of this rubbish.

Would I care to provide further evidence that Paul met Jesus? Why? It is simple really ALM, Is the Bible the Inerrant Word of God? If you choose to be believe it is not then what evidence do you want? Should I magically provide a living eye witness? Or maybe CCTV from the Damascus Highway Patrol? You tell me.

But if part of the bible was written by a person with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy or some other condition, why do you beieve it? Medical care and knowledge was quite poor around Jesus time and there were probably quite a few mentally ill people wandering the streets. BTW Saul/Paul's behaviour before he had his "epiphany" was hardly rational, suggesting he wasn't all there in the first place.
BTW I forget who wrote Reveleations, but having read bits of it - it is the ramblings of a profoundly mentally ill person.

Easy. I can't believe this actually requires explaining but never mind!

In the bible you will read passages in which Jesus interacts with Mary, Joseph, luke, john, M.Magdalene, barnabus, jews, romans etc etc etc. He talks with them, he eats with them, heals them, preaches to them etc etc etc. You will find no such passages in which Paul interacts/talks/meets jesus in the flesh. The reason for this is that he never met Jesus. I'm surprised you hadn't realised this fact because it is actually widely accepted by all Christian churches.

I'm beginning to have my suspicions as to whether you are a Christian at all Chico. Perhaps you are nothing more than a troll as our friend SAS keeps telling us.

The disciple John wrote Revelation hardly the writings of a madman.

                      Revelation 21
                      The New Jerusalem
1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
5He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
