kalashnikov is a reference to assault rifles "made" by Mr Kalashnikov, designs that pretty closely resemble MP44...

AK47 is a kalashnikov, old version - in 80s it was more common to see AK74, standard issue at the time.

Pardon me for being dense - I am not into macho posturing and claiming to play with guns etc....... But isn't an AK47 and a Kalashnikov the same thing?!

The designation AK-47 stands for Kalashnikov automatic rifle, model of 1947 (Russian: Автомат Калашникова 47, tr. Avtomat Kalashnikova 47).

cojak do you understand "cyberbullying" now?
E.g. when some adolescent village idiots start talking about AK47s, do you not think the cretins deserve it?

                    Sas,

I am not sure why it is,

but you remind me of Ronny Corbett when he played that Timothy character.

Everytime I read your posts I have that voice in my head.

                    Funny eh.

                    Are you vertically challenged ?

I'm 5'11'' and have a cut glass aristocratic accent, so no, you're way off.
