My family had so called "dacha" or summer house with like some land given in 80s by generous Communist Party, the idea was that Soviet citizens would grow stuff there - potatoes, tomatoes etc. I totally hated going there on weekends to weed stuff etc

I saw a programme on 1st channel where they were demonstrating how you can do a DIY job on your dacha and turn it into a weekend friends, family sport and drink relate retreat including a hard stand for your 4x4.

Not quite, hot food from a supermarket has not VAT, hot food from from a takeaway does have vat. The power of money over government.
