Reduction in tax from 30-40% to 3.5% should be good enough indicator that scheme can't be right - as judge says if every ordinary person could do it, then there would tax free life.

I thought they could do that already? Although they still have to prove your contract(s) fall within it, no?

IMHO anyone doing this knows it's a massive gamble on two fronts:

A/ The company running the scheme fks off with your money - e.g. Dignatio
B/ The inland revenue takes an interest in it (given IR35 et al, that was pretty much a certainty)

If you are going to do it then you have to be prepared for the eventuality of loss at some juncture and keep a big warchest.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

When a bloke in the pub offers you half price thing do you take it?

Tax can be 0% and it can be perfectly legal - but if something involves "offshore", complex scheme etc, then that should be enough of a pointer to "ordinary person" to stay away from it.

A fool proof scheme to reduce tax from around 40% to 3.6% using artificial offshore scheme. Great references from leading barristers available, and the best part you don't have to leave your country of residence, interested? Contact us here (NSFTE).
